Jeremiah's Place is proud to have team members and advisors that are dedicated to making an impact in our local Pittsburgh communities and beyond.
Board Member, David Riehl, along with with his wife Ashleigh, are championing millennial engagement for the United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania. As members of the millennial generation, David and Ashleigh are committed to not only engaging themselves but also challenging their friends and peers to always do more.
For the couple, getting started with the United Way began through their respective employers, SAP and Hefren-Tillotson. Both organization emphasize the importance of making time to give back to our communities.
"We were connected to United Way through our employers and started participating in the workplace campaign activities which kept us coming back. We have supported United Way as donors and as volunteers since 2012."
- David Riehl
David's efforts have propelled his organization, Hefren-Tillotson, to sponsoring a day at Jeremiah's Place and sponsoring a table at the recent 15th Annual Cribs for Kids Women of Achievement Awards.
Their combined generosity has helped provide emergency childcare for families in need. In addition, David has personally brought our staff lunch and donated gift cards to help pay for supplies and food for local families in crisis during the COVID pandemic.
Jeremiah's Place is proud to have team members like David to help us deliver on our mission to our community.
