On February 4, 2012, Jeremiah's Place was founded by Tammy Murdock, Eileen Sharbaugh, and Lynne Williams, who first connected to create a vision of providing a safe place for children and support for families in the community. As we celebrate 11 years since our founding, we would like to acknowledge our founders' hard work and dedication toward the mission of Jeremiah's Place.
Our founders, in addition to countless volunteers, staff members, community members, and supporters brought the work of Jeremiah's Place to life. This collaboration across meetings, fundraisers, and surveys to gather community input paved the way for the creation of Southwestern Pennsylvania's only Crisis Nursery.
This month, we celebrate Founder's Day as our Founders (once again) generously Sponsor-A-Day at Jeremiah's Place, providing 24-hour, judgment-free emergency childcare at no cost to families experiencing crises. Thank you, Tammy, Eileen, and Lynne!
Are you or your organization interested in helping our communities provide a safe haven for children and families? If so, please consider sponsoring a day at Jeremiah’s Place. Not only can you honor an individual, an event, or a date, but you will also provide direct support to Jeremiah’s Place, the region’s only crisis nursery providing free and confidential care for young children and support for their families.
