Therapeutic Child Care Team Member - Full-Time

We are seeking full-time staff to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: 7 am – 7 pm

$16/hr and increases to $17/hr after 6 months

Therapeutic Childcare Staff: Therapeutic Childcare Staff is responsible for providing a safe and developmentally appropriate therapeutic environment to minimize the adverse effects of a stressful situation or traumatic experience of children in crisis. They are responsible for managing the childcare of children visiting our short-term emergency childcare center. Children visiting Jeremiah’s Place may have had complex backgrounds and experiences, so staff need to understand the effects of trauma and child development. Applicants should have experience with trauma informed care and empathy with families and children in crisis.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry children
• Physical stamina to keep up with active children
• Bending, kneeling, and squatting to interact with children at their level
• Ability to stand for extended periods

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
