Natalia is a Program Evaluation Analyst in the Research, Evaluation, and Data Team at Code.org, an education innovation nonprofit dedicated to the vision that every student in every school has the opportunity to learn computer science as part of their core K-12 education, with a focus on increasing participation by young women and students from other underrepresented groups. Natalia is passionate about using data analytics to ensure program outcomes are achieved, and to identify opportunities to strengthen initiatives and reach those who are underserved. Growing up in Colombia, she chose to study Economics as a way to use her passion for math and social sciences to improve the lives of those in need, and found her passion for data analysis and quantitative methods as a vehicle to do that.

Prior to joining Code.org she evaluated child welfare and family strengthening services at Allegheny County’s Department of Human Services. Prior to that she worked as a senior business intelligence consultant at Intellego, a Latin American consulting firm in Colombia, Chile and Mexico. She also worked as a Treasury Assistant at Colombia’s National Coffee Growers’ Association, and interned in Brazil’s largest cement company, Votorantim cimentos.

Natalia holds a BS in Economics from Universidad de Los Andes (Bogota, Colombia), a Masters’ degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Georgetown University, and a Masters’ degree in Public Policy and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh. She lives in Pittsburgh, PA and enjoys parenting her two kids, playing sports with them, traveling, and reading. She is fluent in Spanish and English, and has basic knowledge of Portuguese and Italian.
