Early Learning Collaborative
A free program to combat learning loss caused by pandemic-related isolation
What Is The Early Learning Collaborative?
During and following the pandemic, we have observed learning gaps in children due to pandemic-related isolation, which motivated us to initiate a project. This initiative led us to form a partnership with the Center That Cares, the Early Excellence Project, and A. Shannon Consulting, resulting in the establishment of the Early Learning Collaborative.
How Does The Early Learning Collaborative Work?
The Early Learning Collaborative is designed for children ages 3-6. The program is free, and all supplies are provided at no charge.
For those participating with Jeremiah's Place, students will:
- Visit our center 1 day per week for a 2-hour learning session
- Mondays: 4:30pm-6:30pm
- Tuesdays: 5pm-7pm
- Wednesdays: 4:30pm-6pm
- Thursdays: 5pm-7pm
- Engage with Waterford* on a tablet provided by Jeremiah's Place 4 days per week
- Age 3: 15 minutes of SmartStart per day
- Ages 4 and 5: 15 minutes of Reading and 15 minutes of Math&Science per day
- Age 6: 30 minutes of Reading and 30 minutes of Math&Science per day
*Waterford is a learning software that provides fun and engaging lessons in reading, math, and science that adapt to each learner.
