Therapeutic Childcare Staff - Full-time, Weekday

We are seeking full-time Therapeutic Childcare Staff to work Monday – Thursday: 7 am – 5 pm

$16/hr and increases to $17/hr after 6 months

Therapeutic Childcare Staff are responsible for providing a safe and developmentally appropriate therapeutic environment to minimize the adverse effects of a stressful situation or traumatic experience of children in crisis. They are responsible for managing the childcare of children visiting our short-term emergency childcare center. Children visiting Jeremiah’s Place may have had difficult backgrounds and experiences, so staff need to understand the effects of trauma and child development. Therapeutic Childcare Staff are responsible for implementing the STEAM curriculum throughout our daily schedule, with the ability to adapt activities based on developmental stages.

Recent graduates and college students are encouraged to apply. Applicants should also have experience with caring for children with special needs.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to bend from standing position
• Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds
• Ability to sit on the floor and rise quickly
• Ability to hear a child speaking or cry

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
• COVID-19 Vaccination Required
