Therapeutic Childcare Team Member

$16/hr and increases to $17/hr after 6 months

We are seeking Therapeutic Childcare Staff!

We are hiring for overnight shifts. These shifts are on a rotation, four days on/ four days off. Shifts are either 10 or 12 hours long, and you will work a total of 40 – 46 hours per week. After the first 6 months, the hourly rate will increase to $17/hour.

Therapeutic Childcare Staff

Therapeutic Childcare Staff is responsible for providing a safe and developmentally appropriate therapeutic environment to minimize the adverse effects of a stressful situation or traumatic experience of children in crisis. They are responsible for managing the childcare of children visiting our short-term emergency childcare center. Children visiting Jeremiah’s Place may have had complex backgrounds and experiences, so staff needs to understand the effects of trauma and child development. Applicants should also have experience in caring for children with special needs.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry children
• Physical stamina to keep up with active children
• Bending, kneeling, and squatting to interact with children at their level
• Ability to stand for extended periods
