Therapeutic Childcare Staff are responsible for providing a safe and developmentally appropriate therapeutic environment to minimize the adverse effects of a stressful situation or traumatic experience of children in crisis. They are responsible for managing the childcare of children visiting our short-term emergency childcare center. Children visiting Jeremiah's Place may have had difficult backgrounds and experiences, so staff need to understand the effects of trauma and child development.

Recent graduates and college students are encouraged to apply. Applicants should also have experience with caring for children with special needs.

Therapeutic Childcare Staff

They are responsible for managing the childcare of children visiting our short-term emergency childcare center. Children visiting Jeremiah’s Place may have had complex backgrounds and experiences, so staff needs to understand the effects of trauma and child development. Applicants should also have experience in caring for children with special needs.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to bend from standing position
• Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds
• Ability to sit on the floor and rise quickly
• Ability to hear a child speaking or cry

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
• COVID-19 Vaccination Required
• Childcare Experience

Schedule:

• Monday – Thursday
• 5PM – 9PM
