This morning, Jeremiah’s Place was joined by Rep. Summer Lee and team to announce that our program partner, Women for a Healthy Environment (WHE), received a $190,940 federal grant from the CDC. This grant will support their efforts to combat lead poisoning in Pittsburgh.
This past year, Jeremiah’s Place completed WHE’s 1000 Hours a Year lead testing program and became Eco-healthy certified. Thanks to this initiative, we know that our center is a lead-free, healthy, and safe place for our children.
Jeremiah’s Place congratulates WHE on this significant grant that will positively impact the lives of so many children in our community.
