Sarah Indyk is a graduate student at the University of Pittsburgh, where she is pursuing a dual Master’s degree in Social Work and Public Health. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Temple University.
During her undergraduate years, she volunteered with the Body Empowerment Project and in a Depression and Bipolar Lab, experiences that sparked her deep commitment to community wellness and mental health.
Sarah is especially passionate about advocating for children and families, and is dedicated to building strong, sustainable foundations that support their physical, emotional, and social well-being. Throughout her work with nonprofits in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, she has supported underserved and migrant communities, striving to remove barriers to care and access.
Recently, Sarah was selected as a Community and Racial Equity Leadership Fellow at the University of Pittsburgh. Through this fellowship, she will continue hands-on, equity-centered work in the Homewood neighborhood.
When she’s not studying or in the field, Sarah enjoys making jewelry, reading, spending time with her godchildren, and volunteering.
