McKenzie is a compassionate and dedicated professional who values the opportunity to lend a helping hand to those who need it, a passion she fulfills through her work at Jeremiah’s Place.
She began her journey at Jeremiah’s Place in 2020 as a Therapeutic Childcare staff member. Following her graduation in 2022, McKenzie was promoted to Development Manager, and by 2024, she advanced to her current role as Director of Development. In this capacity, she leads all fundraising initiatives, manages external communications, and oversees the Early Learning Collaborative program.
McKenzie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Public Service, with a concentration in Nonprofit Management, from the University of Pittsburgh, where she also obtained a certificate in Managing Health Services, Programs, and Projects. She is now pursuing her Master of Public Administration at Pitt, specializing in Public and Nonprofit Management.
A proud Pittsburgh native and self-described Yinzer, McKenzie enjoys spending her free time baking, cooking, exploring local trails, and snuggling with her dog, Barkley.
