Trade Institute of Pittsburgh
Serving vulnerable populations through community engagement, advocacy, and the cultivation of financial resources is the essence of Maggie’s nearly two decades of experience in the nonprofit sector.
Currently, Maggie is the director of giving & strategic initiatives for the Trade Institute of Pittsburgh, a nonprofit trade school for men and women returning from incarceration. Prior to this role, she led corporate and community engagement for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and community engagement for the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. She began her career as a correctional librarian in Ontario, Canada.
Maggie holds a BA in English Literature from Oberlin College and a Master of Library Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
Maggie lives with her husband, teenage son, two dogs and a handful of chickens in Pt. Breeze. When not driving her son around on an endless loop of baseball tournaments, Maggie spends as much time as possible gardening, reading, and running (slowly) in Frick Park.
